Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court S-12. to issue Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or orders or direction in the nature of writ, directing the respondents to pay 6 percent interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits of P.F., Gratuity and Unavailed Leave Salary and Commutation, payable to the Petitioner from the date of his retirement i.e. 30.04.2019 to till the date of actual payment made to him i.e. 25.01.2021 and all other attendant benefits to him within the stipulated period and to pass such other 1/3

This contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order, dated 08.10.2021, made in W.P.(MD) No.18382 of 2021.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents made a submission pursuant to the orders of this Court, 80% of the benefits due to the petitioner have been settled and the remaining benefits will be settled within a period of six weeks.

3. Recording the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, the contempt petition is closed. However, after settlement of the benefits, if any grievance exists regarding calculation or otherwise, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Competent Authority for redressal of his grievance in the manner known to law.
