ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner on 05.02.2018 and investigate the same and file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that During his Village Pongal Festival, some unknown persons came and disturbed the festival. When the petitioner and the villagers questioned them, they came to know that the persons are henchmen and planned to kill one Satheesh and hence the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondents on 05.02.2018, but sofar, no action has been taken. Hence, he filed this present Criminal Original Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the enquiry is still pending.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law.

6. With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
