Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the respondent to hold elections to the Mohaideen Andavar Mosque Waqf, Pattukottai to elect its office bearers by passing orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2020 in light of the proceedings of the respondent dated 19.02.2020 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, this contempt petition is closed, in the light of the subsequent development, pursuant to the order dated 16.09.2021.

2.It appears that on 27.09.2021, summon has been issued to the petitioner and the petitioner has also participated in the proceedings thereafter. The Waqf Board has also issued appropriate instructions to the Superintendent on 30.09.2021 to prepare the electoral list to conduct election.

Cont.P.(MD) No.507 of 2022 3.In the light of the above, I do not find any merits in this contempt petition. I therefore dismiss this contempt petition by directing the respondent to complete the election process within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
