Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 05.06.2019 and 06.06.2019 at night 09.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., in connection with "Vaikasi Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Kovil at Vanniyanviduthi Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.05.2019. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event, namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 05.06.2019 and 06.06.2019 at night 09.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., in connection with "Vaikasi Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Kovil at Vanniyanviduthi Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.05.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to perform the cultural event, namely Adalpadal on 05.06.2019 and 06.06.2019 in connection with "Vaikasi Festival" of the above said temple, the petitioner made a representation on 20.05.2019 to the second respondent and the said https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
