O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.5 of 2014 on the file of All Women Police Station, Keeranur.

2. The petitioners have been arrayed as accused Nos.2 and 3 in Crime No.5 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent police for the alleged commission of offences under Sections 417, 406, 420, 376 and 506 (i) of I.P.C., altered into 417, 406, 420 and 506(i) of I.P.C. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the parties namely, the petitioners and the de-facto complainant are present before this Court. A joint compromise memo dated 31.03.2015 has been filed, which contains the signature of the petitioners and the second respondent. The same was attested by the learned counsel on both sides.

4. Heard both sides and also perused the compromise memo. The appearance of the parties is recorded.

5. Considering the submissions made and after going through the relevant documents and after looking at the nature of offences alleged against the petitioners, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in continuing the proceedings.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.5 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent, is quashed. The compromise memo shall form part of record.
