O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the third respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for her property bearing Old S.No.655, New Natham S.No.900/28, an extent of 213-29 sq.mt situated at Maavilpatti Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 18.01.2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.R.Murugappan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that she is the absolute owner of the aforementioned property having purchased the same under a registered sale deed, dated 13.10.2008 registered as Doc.No.2818/08. It is also her case that subsequent to the purchase, she has been paying property tax for the said property. W.P.(MD)No.4421 of 2022 4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's application seeking for issuance of patta for the aforementioned property is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Accordingly, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 18.01.2022 seeking for issuance of patta in her favour for the property comprised in Old S.No.655 New Natham S.No.900/28, an extent of 213-29 sq.mt situated at Maavilpatti Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
