ORDER
The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.14 of 2016 of Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Virudhunagar and file a final report within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, would contend that the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, after concluding investigation in Crime No.14 of 2016, has made ready a referred charge sheet treating the case as 'Action Dropped'. 3.In the circumstances, the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Virudhunagar, is directed to file a referred charge sheet before the concerned Court, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the order, after giving notice to the defacto complainant.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.3943 of 2021 4.With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the defacto complainant, if aggrieved by the referred charge sheet filed by the respondent police, can approach the concerned Magistrate and file a protest petition, if so adviced.
