Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the programme of "Adal Padal" on 16.06.2019 night at about 8.00 P.m., to 12.00 a.m., at Subramaniyapuram, Arulmigu Sri Thandu Mariamman Thirukoil, is situated at Madurai South, Madurai District and to provide adequate police Protection based on the petitioner representation dated 23.05.2019.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct the Adal Padal programme on 16.06.2019 at 08.00 p.m., to 12.00 p.m., in connection with the festival of Arulmigu Sri Thandu Mariamman Thirukoil, situated at Subramaniyapuram, Madurai South, Madurai District
2. Heard both sides.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct the Adal Padal Programme on 16.06.2019 in connection with the festival of the above said temple, the petitioner made a representation on 23.05.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.
5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
