Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to issue patta in respect of the petitioner's house property of an extent of 912 sq. ft. comprised in Survey No.368/B-1A situated at Thangachiyammappatti village, Ottanchathiram Taluk, Dindigul District by considering his representation dated 15.05.2019 within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to issue patta in respect of the petitioner's house property of an extent of 912 sq. ft. comprised in Survey No.368/B-1A situated at Thangachiyammappatti village, Ottanchathiram Taluk, Dindigul District by considering his representation dated 15.05.2019 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.J.Lawrance, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Bhagavthi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner purchased property at S.No.368/B-1A in Thangachiyammappati village, Ottanchathiram Taluk, Dindigul https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

District to an extent of 912 sq. ft. by way of public action from State Bank of India on 30.08.2018. Though the property has been purchased accordingly, when the petitioner approached the respondent revenue department to give patta to the said property, they have not come forward.

In this regard, though a representation has been made on 15.05.2019, no action seems to have been taken by the respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court and he wants that, the said representation dated 15.05.2019 to be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that, the said representation of the petitioner would be decided on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame stipulated by this Court. 5.Considering the limited scope of the writ petition, the 2nd respondent is hereby directed to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.05.2015 with regard to grant of patta to the land at S.No.368/B-1A in Thangachiyammappati village, Ottanchathiram Taluk, Dindigul District on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders thereon to that effect within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
