construction the community hall at Vanaravayal Village, Karaikulam Panchayat, Ilayangudi Panchayat union as per the work order issued by the 3rd respondent dated 20.08.2025.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to earmark the place meant for construction of the community hall.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, he is a successful bidder for construction of the community hall. However, when the attempts were made to start the construction, there was resistance from the private parties contending that it is their property. Therefore, he had made a request to the Tahsildar, Ilayangudi, to mark the place for the construction of the community hall. The petitioner has also made a request to the third respondent. Since the said request has not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the third and fourth respondent has received written instructions to the effect that the third respondent has addressed a communication to the Tahsildar, Ilanyankudi, to remove the encroachment and thereafter, earmark the portion meant for construction of the community hall and handover the same to the writ petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed and thereafter, the petitioner shall be informed in writing about the removal of encroachment. Thereafter, the petitioner shall start constructing the community hall.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
