Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court directing the respondent to settle and pay all the terminal benefits of the petitioner namely EPF Employees Contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Earned Leaves etc forthwith together with 18 percent interest per annum and within a time frame.

O R D E R

The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-Transport Corporation made a submission that the principal amount due to the petitioner has been settled in entirety and the interest portion will be settled as expeditiously as possible, as there is certain financial crisis in the Transport Corporation.

2. This Court is of the opinion that the respondent is bound to settle the interest portion as applicable to the petitioner as early as possible. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont.P.(MD) No.562 of 2022 authorities in this regard for redressal of his grievances.

3. With the above liberty, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
