ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioners to direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioners in the guise of enquiry

2. According to the petitioners, there are some money dispute pending between the petitioners and the private respondent, thereby the private respondent entered into the petitioners shop. Therefore, the petitioners have lodged a complaint to the respondents no.1 and 2 on 13.02.2025. The private respondent has also lodged a complaint as against the petitioners and based on that complaint, the 2nd respondent police have harassed the petitioners. Thereafter, the petitioners have sent a representation dated 18.02.2025 and the same has not been considered by the respondents no.1 and 2. Therefore, they have filed this petition.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents no.1 and 2 would submit that there is a money dispute pending between the petitioners and the 3rd respondent and thereby, the petitioners sent a representation through post on 18.02.2025. Thereafter, the respondent police went to the address mentioned in the complaint, but the petitioners were not present and they came to know that the petitioners are residing at Chennai. Only based on the complaint given by the 2/4

petitioners, they have searched for enquiry purpose. Apart from that, they have not harassed the petitioners in any way.

4. Considering the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court even without issuing notice to the 3rd respondent inclined to dispose of the petition. According to the 2nd respondent, they have not harassed the petitioners and only for enquiry purpose based on the complaint lodged by the petitioners, they have searched. Recording the above said submission of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
