Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural programmes viz., Karagam Attam with Aadal Padal on 09/06/2019 starts at about 9.00 p.m. till end on next day (i.e) on 10/06/2019 5.00 a.m. and on 21/06/2019, the cultural programmes viz Innisai Katcheri on the eve of Shree Mariamman Temple Festival at Navalpattu Road, Gandhi Nagar, Trichy.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural programmes viz., Karagam Attam with Aadal Padal on 09/06/2019 starts at about 9.00 p.m. till end on next day (i.e) on 10/06/2019 at 5.00 a.m. and on 21/06/2019, the cultural programmes viz., Innisai Katcheri on the eve of Shree Mariamman Temple Festival at Navalpattu Road, Gandhi Nagar, Trichy.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct the cultural Programme viz., Karagam Attam and Innisai Katcheri on 09.06.2019, 10.06.2019 and 21.06.2019 in the above said temple, the petitioner made a representation on 30.05.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
