ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the respondent to cancel petitioner's new pan card in PAN. CKCPV1176J 1/4
and consequently direct the respondent to re issue petitioner old pan card in PAN.FTSPS6723N by considering petitioners application in Ack.No. 645922410333, dated 11.02.2025 in accordance with law, within time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has preferred an application on 11.02.2025 to the respondent for cancellation of his new PAN Card - CKCPV1176J and for issuance of his old PAN Card - FTSPS6723N. Since the said application has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the new pan card of the petitioner has already been cancelled and if the petitioner makes necessary application to restore his old pan card in FTSPS6723N, the same will be restored. The said submission is recorded.

5. I have considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the said submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent to the effect that the petitioner's new pan card has been cancelled as per the request of the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to make necessary application to restore his old pan card to file. The respondent is directed to serve a copy of the order cancelling the new pan card on the petitioner.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
