Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent to consider the representation dated 25.03.2019 of the petitioner and to issue patta in his favour and other legal heirs of his wife. ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner and other legal heirs of his wife based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2019 within stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2.Heard Mr.C.M.Arumugam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner, in order to get patta for his land, which is inherited from his wife, who is no more, in Survey No.65/1 to an extent of 63 cents, has made a representation to the second respondent/ Tahsildar on 25.03.2019. However, the same has not so far been considered. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court with aforesaid prayer.

4.I have heard the leaned Additional Government Pleader, who would submit that, the said representation submitted by the petitioner dated 25.03.2019 would be considered and orders to that effect would be passed by the second respondent within a period that may be stipulated by this Court.
5.Considering the limited scope of the said prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following direction:
"The second respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.03.2019 and take a decision and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
