ORDER

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is seeking for a direction to the 3rd respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioners, on the basis of their representation dated 24.04.2019.

2. Heard Mr.G.Thiruvarutselvan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannithevan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The petitioner in order to get patta for the land at Survey No.293/31-12 in New Survey No.293/31 to an extent of 5008 sq.ft and the tiled house there in bearing Old Door No.2/283 B and 2/284B and the present No.3/43 of Ooriyur Village, Ooriyur Group, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District has given a representation dated 24.04.2019 to the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, if the said representation made to the respondents is decided on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court, then, the petitioners would be satisfied.

5. I have heard Mr.P.Kannithevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who would submit that the 3rd respondent Tahsildar will consider the representation of the petitioners dated 24.02.2019 and would pass order on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

6. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself with the following direction:- "that the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 24.04.2019 with regard to the issuance of patta and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
