This petition has been filed by the petitioners to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.104 of 2024 dated 15.08.2024 on the 1/4
file of the first respondent police for the offences under Sections 132, 121(1) of BNSS, 2023 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsels on both sides represented that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and to that effect, they have entered into a compromise and the same is filed before this Court.
3. The defacto-complainant and the Accused Nos.1 and 2 are present and this Court enquired about the terms of compromise. The defacto-complainant represented that they entered into a compromise and she has no objection to quash the F.I.R. A compromise memo, dated 03.03.2025 signed by the parties and their respective counsels, is also filed before this Court. A counter case was also lodged and F.I.R in Crime No.105 of 2024 has been registered for the offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2) of BNSS, 2023, 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and in the counter case also they entered into a compromise.

4. This Court has perused the terms of the compromise memo dated 03.03.2025.
5. Considering the nature of the offences and they have also entered into a compromise, it is appropriate to allow this petition.
6. Recording the said compromise memo, this criminal original petition is allowed and the First Information Report in Crime No.104 of 2024 dated 15.08.2024 on the file of the first respondent police is quashed.
