ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for records relating to the proceedings in Crime No.48 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

3. The petitioner is arrayed as an accused in Crime No.48 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 120(b), 419, 465, 460, 471 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code and seeking to quash the said proceedings, the present petition has been filed.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the sale deed has been executed in favour of the defacto complainant by the petitioner, dated 18.05.2012, which has been duly registered.

5. When the matter is taken up for hearing, a joint memo of compromise has been filed by both parties and it is also signed by both the parties and counsels. The petitioner as well as the second respondent are also present before this Court. The said joint memo of compromise is taken on record.

6. In view of the said compromise memo, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose will be served by proceedings further in this matter.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.48 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent is quashed.
