ORDER

Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer on 03.12.2024.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. As rightly pointed out by the learned Special Government Pleader, statutory appeal remedy is available to the petitioner, if aggrieved by the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, to the District Revenue Officer. Without resorting to filing of the statutory appeal, the present writ petition has been filed.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to prefer a statutory appeal before District Revenue Officer, Tirunelveli within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If such an appeal is preferred within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, then the District Revenue Officer, Tirunelveli, shall entertain the appeal without rejecting the same on the ground of limitation and thereafter, consider and pass orders on merits on the appeal petition to be filed by the petitioner.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations and directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
