This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabbadi Tournament from 30.06.2018 at 12.15 p.m. to 01.07.2018 at 06.00 p.m. at Public Play Ground, Thi.Na.Pudukudi, Puliyankudi Village, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 01.06.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.According to the petitioner, he made representations dated 01.06.2018 and 07.06.2018 to the respondents to grant permission and police protection for conducting the Kabbadi Tournament from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

30.06.2018 at 12.15 p.m. to 01.07.2018 at 06.00 p.m. at Public Play Ground, Thi.Na.Pudukudi, Puliyankudi Village, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli District. Since no order has been passed on the said representation, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law, if there is no rival claim to conduct the festival.

5.Considering the submission made by both parties, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 22.06.2018, after providing reasonable opportunity to the parties. The petitioner shall submit a copy of a representation dated 01.06.2018 along with a copy of this order to the second respondent.

6.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
