Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission to the petitioner and police protection for conducting Aadal Padal (dance programme) show at the evening hours on 19.06.2019 between 08.00 p.m., to 11.00 p.m., at Manthaikalam Open Auditorium in the event of Sri Arulmighu Janagai Mariamman Temple Thiruvizha at Sholavandan, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, pursuant to the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2019.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant permission to the petitioner and police protection for conducting Aadal Padal (dance programme) show at the evening hours on 19.06.2019 between 08.00 p.m., and 11.00 p.m., at Manthaikalam Open Auditorium in the event of Sri Arulmighu Janagai Mariamman Temple Thiruvizha at Sholavandan, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, pursuant to the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and police protection to conduct the Adal Padal (dance programme) on 19.06.2019 in connection with the festival of the above said temple, the petitioner has given a representation on 08.05.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
