PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.01.2021 to repatriate the convict prisoner, namely, Rifaiyudheen, son of Sulthan, lodged at Wellikada Prison/Sri Lanka in Prison ID U30-768 to India Prison as per the India-Sri Lanka Joint Declaration. Pursuant to the order, dated 09.11.2021, the Government has taken steps to transfer the convict prisoner, namely, Rifaiyudheen, son of Sulthan from Wellikada Prison, Srilanka to India.

2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India that the convict prisoner, Rifaiyudheen, son of Sulthan, has been transferred to Puzal Prison, Chennai.

3. In view of the same, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication. Hence, this writ petition stands closed. No Costs.
