The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to re-issue a passport to the petitioner based on his application dated 14.01.2026, by considering his representation dated 28.01.2026.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner was implicated in Crime No. 92 of 2022 on the file of the second respondent police and that the said case was referred as "mistake of fact" on 23.04.2022.
3. In view of the above facts, it is clear that, as on date, no criminal case is pending against the petitioner. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law on the petitioner's application.
4. With the above observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
