Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to Survey the lands in Survey No.220/2 and 220/3 in Ward C, Block 4 to an extent of 3230 sq.ft. at Emaneswaran Kovil Sannathi Street in Emaneswaram 4th ward in Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District and issue Patta in the petitioner's name on the basis of the petitioner's Representations dated 20.07.2018 and 16.05.2019. ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to Survey the lands in Survey No.220/2 and 220/3 in Ward C, Block 4 to an extent of 3230 sq.ft. situated

at Emaneswaran Kovil Sannathi Street in Emaneswaram 4th ward in Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District and issue Patta in the petitioner's name on the basis of the petitioner's Representations dated 20.07.2018 and 16.05.2019.

2.Heard Mr.D.Senthil, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Bhagavathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner, in order to survey the boundary of the land at Survey No.220/2 and 220/3 situated at Emaneswaran Kovil Sannathi Street in Emaneswaram 4th ward in Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, has made a request to the respondents on 28.10.2016 and 19.12.2016, pursuant to which on 23.12.2016, the Sub Collector concerned had directed the petitioner to approach the concerned Thasildar. Accordingly, on 20.07.2018, similar request has been made to the Thasildar ie. the second respondent and necessary fee had been paid by the petitioner on the said date and again on 16.05.2019, once again the petitioner has made a request to the respondents 1 to 3. However, so far no action seems to have been taken by the respondents in measuring the land of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, within a time frame stipulated by this Court, the respondents, especially the second respondent would take necessary steps to measure the land of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits thereon. 5.Considering the said submissions made by both sides, this Court is inclined to give direction to the respondents, especially the second respondent, to act upon on the representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.2018 and 16.05.2019, pursuant to the fees paid on 20.06.2018 with regard to measurement to be taken in respect of the petitioner's land and pass necessary orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
