Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to sub divide and issue the fresh patta to the petitioner in connection with properties in S.No.86/1 to an extent of 13 acres contained in Patta no. 1027 situated at Vethiyarendhal Village, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 28.08.2023 within a time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the property in question is one of the properties which have come within the purview of the Hon'ble Lodha Committee. He pointed out that the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India had constituted the said committee in order to resolve the issue arising out of the default committed by the financial establishment known as PACL. Hence, the stand of the respondents is that the petitioner's request is not feasible of compliance. If that be so, the third respondent is directed to formally inform the petitioner. This shall be done by the third respondent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
