This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant Patta in the name of Arulmighu Umaiyanayagi Amman Thirukovil, S.Tharaikudi, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District for the land comprising in S.No.577/2 of S.Tharaikudi Group, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District to an extent of 4.81 Hectares of land based on the orders of the third respondent dated 04.09.2014, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that he had applied for patta for the aforementioned property and by proceedings of the third respondent, dated 04.09.2014, the case of the petitioner was recommended to the fourth respondent. But till date, the fourth 1/3

respondent has not issued patta in the temple name. In such circumstances, the petitioner, who claims to be the former trustee of the temple, has filed this Writ Petition.

3.Heard Mr.K.P.Krishna Doss, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation seeking for issuance of patta in the name of temple is considered as per the proceedings of the third respondent, dated 04.09.2014 on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's request for issuance of patta in the name of Arulmighu Umaiyanayagi Amman Thirukovil, S.Tharaikudi, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District for the land comprising in S.No.577/2 of S.Tharaikudi Group, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District to an extent of 4.81 Hectares of land, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
