PRAYER : Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India to direct the learned 2nd Additional District Judge, Tuticorin to dispose of the petition in I.A.Nos.3 of 2022, 4 of 2023 and 5 of 2023 in A.S.No.45 of 2020 within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

For Petitioner :Ms.J.Sowmiya for Mr.S.Ramesh (in all cases) ***** COMMON ORDER These Civil Revision Petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the learned 2nd Additional District Judge, Tuticorin, to dispose of the cases in I.A.Nos.3 of 2022, 4 of 2023 and 5 of 2023 in A.S.No.45 of 2020, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.This Court, vide order, dated 18.02.2026, had directed the learned 2nd Additional District Judge, Tuticorin, to send a year wise pendency report of the pending cases and in compliance of the same, the learned 2nd Additional District Judge, Tuticorin, had sent a report vide proceedings in D.No.203/2026, dated 25.02.2026, annexing the breakup details with regard to the pendency of the cases arising from the year 2022 to 2026. From the perusal of the same, it is seen that the total number of pending cases is 344 and the pendency of the cases in the year 2022 is 75.

3.Since the present suit is of the year 2022, the learned 2nd Additional District Judge, Tuticorin, is directed to dispose of the cases in I.A.Nos.3 of 2022, 4 of 2023 and 5 of 2023 in A.S.No.45 of 2020, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that till the disposal of the above applications, the appellate Court shall not proceed further. 4.With the aforesaid directions, these Civil Revision Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
