ORDER
The fifth respondent appears to have produced a film titled 'Kallan', directed by the sixth respondent. The petitioner-sangam, with an apprehension that the name denotes their community and degrading their community, has submitted a representation to the respondents 1 to 4 on 13.12.2021 requesting them to stop the release of the film and has filed this writ petition.
2.When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.
3.Learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 & 3 submitted that Central Board of Film Certification is considering each and every film and only thereafter, they are issuing certificates. In the film 'Kallan', there is no reference about any community and there is no derogatory statements as against any community. Therefore, the film was duly considered for certification, U/A certificate was issued to the film on 07.03.2022 and the film was also released on 18.03.2022. 3/5
4.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Senior Standing Counsel, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
