O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent (i.e.,) District Collector, Virudhunagar to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2017 on merits and accordance with law, regarding inclusion of his name in the approved list of Deputy Tahsildar of the year 2017 within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. I have heard Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Muruganantham, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, with regard to the grievance of the petitioner, for inclusion of his name in the approved list of Deputy Tahsildars of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the year 2017, the petitioner has already given his representation on 10.11.2017 to the respondent. However, the same, so far, has not been considered. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, if a direction is given to the respondent to consider the said representation and if an order to that effect is directed to be passed within the time frame, by the respondent the petitioner would be satisfied.

4. I have heard Mr.D.Muruganantham, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, who would submit that, the said representation of the petitioner dated 10.11.2017 would be considered by the respondent, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submissions, the representation of the petitioner dated 10.11.2017, with regard to the grievance of inclusion of his name in the approved list of Deputy Tahsildars for the year 2017, shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law and orders to be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(AS) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To The District Collector, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar.
