This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.03.2022 to mutate the patta in his name in respect of the property measuring to an extent of 30 cents, comprised in Survey No.46/10B4 situated at Santhaiyoor village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that he is the absolute owner of the aforementioned property. He has also filed documents along with the Writ Petition in support of his case that he is the owner of the property. He has also submitted a representation on 01.03.2022 to the respondent seeking for issuance of patta in his favour in respect of the aforementioned property. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, he has filed this Writ Petition.

3.Heard Mr.T.Lenin Kumar, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Linga Durai, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

W.P.(MD)No.4503 of 2022 4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondent, if the petitioner's representation seeking for issuance of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 01.03.2022 seeking to mutate the patta in his name in respect of the property measuring to an extent of 30 cents, comprised in Survey No.46/10B4 situated at Santhaiyoor village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar, on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
