This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give police protection up to 3.00 a.m. in the Kodai festival fixed on 13.06.2019 and 14.06.2019 or in any other subsequent day, on the basis of the representation dated 07.06.2019 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

or otherwise in Arulmighu Karuppasamy Temple, Etchampottal Pudur, Kadayanallur Taluk.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondent police has already granted permission to the petitioner to conduct the festival with the condition that they should not use the loudspeaker after 10.00 p.m.

4. Mr.P.Senthur Pandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the Pooja is to be held at midnight and the police protection may be extended till 3.00 a.m.

5. Considering the fact that the Pooja is fixed after midnight, the respondents are directed to extend the police protection till 3.00 p.m.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
