This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 30.03.2017.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
3.According to the petitioner, he purchased a property in the year 2015 and is enjoying the same. While so, when he went to remove the Karuvelam trees therein, the third respondent threatened him with dire consequences. Since the complaint given https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to the respondents 1 and 2 did not yield any result, he has approached this Court with this petition seeking police protection.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that after enquiry the complaint has been closed.
5.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not enquired by the respondent police. 6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made, this Court directs the respondents Police to conduct fresh enquiry and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, by giving opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and the other persons, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
