This writ petition is filed for Writ of Mandamus to remove the electric lines in Survey No.8/174, Manamedu Village, Tottiyam Taluk, Trichy District.

2. Heard Mr.K. Govindarajan the Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, the Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the material documents placed on record.

3. Admittedly, the electricity line is crossing ed through the petitioner's thatched house.

4. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that it is a narrow line, therefore, there is no possibility to shift the electric pole.

5. In order to ascertain the facts and to assess the situation, the Junior Engineer was directed to be present before this Court. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the Junior Engineer is present before this Court and submitted that there is no possibility to shift the line, but the wire can be shifted to half feet. The Junior Engineer also submitted that there is no possibility to change the line because the road itself is bend and the line cannot be straightened.

6. Therefore, the Junior Engineer is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and explain the situation to the parties, thereafter consider to shift the wire for half feet.

7. With these directions and observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
