This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint, dated 20.03.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint on 20.03.2018 before the respondent police. As there was no case registered on the said complaint, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) on instructions, would submit that the petition enquiry is pending before the 2nd respondent police.

5. In view of the above said submission the 2nd respondent police is directed to expedite the enquiry and complete the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the 2nd respondent police shall take action in accordance with law. In case of closure of the complaint, a copy of the closure report shall be furnished to the petitioner within a week of such closure. On receipt of the same, it is open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of .
