ORDER

The petitioner seeks only limited relief of issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to mutate the patta in the petitioner's name.

2. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Satheesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he has purchased the subject lands in and by the registered sale deed on 28.08.2024 and on the very same day, he has applied for mutation of records including patta in 2/5

his name and has also paid the requisite fee. However, since there has been no action taken there on, the petitioner has also made fresh representation on 12.11.2024 before the first respondent. Even thereafter, no orders have been passed and hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, it would suffice to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 12.09.2024 for mutation of patta in his name within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
