: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action in allotting the lands situated in Survey No.1237/2 measuring to the extent of 240 cents, situated at Vadaveeranaickenpatty village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District under "Bhoodan Scheme" based on the communication issued by the 2nd respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.K2/8097/2019 (Poo.Vaa) dated 25.07.2019.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) On the complaint made by the petitioner, dated 04.07.2019, the respondent No.2 has directed the respondent No.4 to conduct an enquiry and send a report. Thereafter, the petitioner has given a representation on 12.02.2021. Finding no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. In the light of the aforesaid facts, we direct the respondent No.4 to send a report, as sought for by the respondent No.2 in the proceedings dated 25.07.2019 within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the respondent No.2 is directed to take appropriate action within a further period of eight weeks thereafter.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
