This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for his property comprised in S.Nos.415/1 to 415/20, 416/1, 627/1821, 2044 and 2046 situated at Sivagiri Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Thenkasi District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that he is the absolute owner of the aforementioned property. He has also applied for patta and has also given representation for the same on 17.11.2021. Since the said application has not been processed and no final order is passed till date, he has filed this Writ Petition. W.P.(MD)No.4506 of 2022 3.Heard Mr.P.Muthamizh Selvakumar, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Linga Durai, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation seeking for issuance of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.11.2021 seeking for issuance of patta in his name in respect of the property comprised in S.Nos.415/1 to 415/20, 416/1, 627/1821, 2044 and 2046 situated at Sivagiri Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Thenkasi District, on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
