Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the first respondent police to transfer the investigation in Crime No.89 of 2016 dated 27.02.2016 from the 2nd respondent to any other investigation officer. ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.89 of 2016 from the file of the second respondent to any other investigating officer.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even after a lapse of three months from the date of registration of the case, the second respondent did not take any efforts to arrest the accused and to file the final report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the aforesaid prayer. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that the final report has already been submitted before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Thanjavur intimating that action has been dropped, and that the petitioner has also been served with RC notice.

5.In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, the relief sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
