ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2019 within stipulated time fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.S.M.Mohan Gandhi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 3.The petitioner, in order to get patta for her land, which was claimed to have been purchased by her by sale deed dated 28.11.2001, has given a representation/application to the respondent Tahsildar on 15.07.2018 and again on 08.04.2019. However, the said representations have not so far been considered and patta has not been so far granted by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 4.I have heard the leaned Additional Government Pleader, who would submit that, the respondent would consider the said request of the petitioner made through her representation and decide the same on merits, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

5.Considering the limited scope of the said prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following direction:

"The respondent is hereby directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 15.07.2018 and 08.04.2019 and take a decision and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6.With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
