This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament on 20.07.2019 (Saturday) at night 10.00 p.m., to 21.07.2019 (Sunday) at 11.00 a.m., at Mayandi Kovil Thidal, Pethanadarpatti, Alangulam Taluk, Tirunelveli District in connection with Mayandi Kovil Festival based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.05.2019.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct the Kabadi Tournament from 20.07.2019

(Saturday) at night 10.00 p.m., to 21.07.2019 (Sunday) at 11.00 a.m., in the above said temple, the petitioner made a representation on 29.05.2019 to the respondents and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
