The petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue the passport based on the petitioner passport application ARN 19-1004474503 dated 08.05.2019 within the stipulated time.

O R D E R
The prayer in the Writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue the passport based on the petitioner's passport application ARN 19-1004474503 dated 08.05.2019.
2.Heard Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Kathirvelu, learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made an application on 08.05.2019 and if the said application is considered on merits and a decision is taken thereon by the respondent within a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied.
4.The learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the said application of the petitioner dated 08.05.2019 would be considered by the respondent on merits and in accordance with law and take a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
decision and communicate the same to the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5.In view of the said submission made by both sides and considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Writ petition, this Writ petition is disposed with the following directions:
That the respondent is hereby directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 08.05.2019 for issuing passport and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law, of course, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, if such need arises and pass final orders thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
