ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner/accused No.1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC, in Crime No.1624 of 2017, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that by promising to arrange a loan from LIC, the petitioner received a sum of Rs. 6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs only) and 16 soverigns of gold jewels from the defacto complainant's wife and cheated her. Since the petitioner did not repay the same, the defacto complainant has given a complaint against the petitioner for the aforesaid offences. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner admitted that she has received a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs only) instead of Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs only), and she is innocent and did not commit any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the intervenor submitted that in order to cheat the defacto complainant's wife, the petitioner received a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs only) and also 16 soverigns of gold jewel from the defacto complainant's wife for arranging a loan from LIC.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the state submitted that the similar type of cases are pending against the petitioner and the petitioner cheated several persons in and around her area, where she is residing and the investigation is still pending.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) and considering the gravity of offence levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Anticipatory bail petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
