O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and act upon the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025 and consequently to implement the order passed by the second respondent dated 25.01.2025 in Moo.Mu.No.A3/CPV-100(5785)/2024, within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the property comprised in Town Survey No.13/3A, measuring an extent of 2359.90 sq. ft., situated at Block No.2, Ward No.18, Virudhunagar Town. However, in the revenue records, the said property has been wrongly classified as "Government Poramboke Vacant Site (Arasu Poramboke - Kali Manai)," which is contrary to the petitioner's title documents and his long, continuous and uninterrupted possession. 4. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application seeking mutation of the revenue records. After conducting a detailed enquiry, the second respondent passed a reasoned order dated 25.01.2025 in Moo.Mu.No.A3/CPV-100(5785)/2024, categorically holding that the existing revenue entry is erroneous and directing the third respondent to effect mutation and issue a separate patta to the petitioner. Pursuant thereto, the third respondent, vide communication dated 09.04.2025, sought approval from the second respondent to correct the entry in the Tamil Nilam website. However, no further steps have been taken till date.

5. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 24.09.2025 to the respondents requesting implementation of the order of the second respondent dated 25.01.2025. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

6. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025 would be considered and appropriate Page No. 3 of 6

orders would be passed by the second and third respondents within a period of eight weeks.

Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second and third respondents are also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order.
