The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the learned Principal Special Court for NDPS Act Cases, Madurai in CC.No. 818/2022 to dispose the case within stipulated time by this Court, since the petitioner is languishing in jail for the past two years. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the when the respondent Police conducted inspection , the petitioner and other accused were found in possession of 20 kgs of Ganja, a case was registered against the petitioner and others, after investigation final report was filed in C.C.No. 818 of 2022 before the learned Principal Special Court for NDPS Act cases, Madurai, as against the accused, which is pending for the past two years.

3.The Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the case is posted to 29.04.2024 for fixing the date of trial.

4.Considering the quantity of contraband involved in this case and the petitioner is languishing in jail for the past two years, this Criminal 2/4
