ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on her

representation dated 05.02.2026 within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that, in respect of the very same land, the father-in-law of the petitioner namely, V.Karthasamy, had earlier filed an application seeking patta, which was rejected by the respondent. The said rejection was challenged before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakottai. During the pendency of the appeal proceedings before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakottai, the petitioner's father-in-law filed W.P.(MD)No.2311 of 2026 seeking a direction from this Court to dispose of the said appeal. However, the petitioner herein again submitted a representation seeking Patta in respect of the very same property.

3. Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Court is of the view that the petitioner's request cannot be entertained in view of the pending dispute. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.) Index : Yes / No 18.02.2026 smn2
