ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Kovilpatti, to expedite and complete the trial in C.C.No.52 of 2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has filed a private complaint against the respondents under Section 200 Cr.P.C., in C.C.No.52 of 2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kovilpatti, and it seems that the petitioner was absent on seven hearings. He further submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen. Considering the age of the petitioner, this Court may pass an appropriate order to dispose of the case in C.C.No.52 of 2016 and also he undertakes that the petitioner will cooperate with the respondent police to dispose of the aforesaid case.

4.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and considering the fact that the petitioner is a senior citizen and undertaking given by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner cooperates to dispose of the said case, this Court, without expressing any opinion, is inclined to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kovilpatti to dispose of the case in C.C.No.52 of 2016, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
