ORDER

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondent to issue patta for the petitioner's property by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.05.2019.

2. Heard Mr.A.Haja Mohideen, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner, in order to get patta at Survey No.127/1, 127/2, 127/5 admeasuring 13 cents, having Door No.3/938, of Kallikudi (North Village), Aruvakudi Village, Manikandam Union, Srirangam Taluka, Trichy District, approached the respondent by giving representation dated 24.05.2019. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that if the said representation of the petitioner is directed to be considered and an order to that effect is directed to be passed within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, he would be satisfied.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that, the petitioner seems to have claimed patta of the subject land only based on the oral gift deed/settlement and therefore, based on which, patta normally would not be given. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Be that as it may, this Court without expressing any opinion about the merits of the claim made by the petitioner is inclined to dispose of this Writ Petition by giving the following direction:- "that the respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.05.2019 and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
