: Respondents Prayer:Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to direct the 2nd respondent to register the complaint, dated 11.10.2017 preferred by the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 148, 294(b), 384, 427, 457 IPC and Section 3 of TNPPDL Act and to take action against the accused in accordance with law.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint, dated 11.10.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint on 11.10.2017 before the respondent police. As there was no case registered on the said complaint, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) on instructions, would submit that the petition enquiry is pending before the 2nd respondent police.

5. In view of the above said submission the 2nd respondent police is directed to expedite the enquiry and complete the same

within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the 2nd respondent police shall take action in accordance with law. In case of closure of the complaint, a copy of the closure report be furnished to the petitioner within a week of such closure. On receipt of the same, it is open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of .
