Side) Prayer: To Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant Audio permission and necessary protection to perform the Cultural Programme (i.e) Villupattu on the eve of Arulmigu Sri Mutharamman and Arulmigu Santhana Mariyamman Tirukovil, Kottai Street, Kalladaikurichi, Tirunelveli District, which is to be held on 16.02.2026, 17.02.2026 and 18.02.2026 based on the petitioner's representation in person on 09.02.2026.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant audio permission and necessary protection to conduct a cultural programme (i.e., Villupattu) on the eve of the festival of Arulmigu Sri Mutharamman and Arulmigu Santhana Mariyamman Tirukovil, Kottai Street, Kalladaikurichi, Tirunelveli District, which is scheduled to be held on 16.02.2026, 17.02.2026, and 18.02.2026, based on the petitioner's representation made in person on 09.02.2026.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has not submitted any representation as of date.

3. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the respondents. Upon such submission, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation and grant permission subject to all necessary conditions, restricting the time 2/4

frame from 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. The petitioner shall also submit an undertaking affidavit stating that no obscenity will be exhibited and that no obscene songs will be performed.

4. With these direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
