Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner for conducting Pooja of Ponnar Sankar Ambu Podum Vizha for the temple of Arulmighu Sri Ponnar Sankar situated in Aniyapoor Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District by disposing his written representation dated 02.03.2021.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondents 1 to 3. 2.In view of the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.342, dated 08.04.2021, the permission and police protection cannot be granted for the events mentioned in that petition. Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
